How I Met Your Mother Recap – Episode 6 Season 6
When Marshall and Lily visit their friends Stewart and Claudia, who recently had a baby, they find out that they haven’t named the baby yet, because they couldn’t agree on a name. After finding out about this, Marshall and Lily also start talking about baby names, they soon find out that they can’t agree on a name either. When Marshall is listing possible names, Ted discovers that Marshall only chooses names for young boys, and he is against Marshall.
This makes Marshall do many things including his confused thoughts about his daughter becoming a prostitute and ending up with ‘Barney’. This forces Marshall to consult his father and ask him to give him advice about giving birth to a boy. Marhsall receives advice from fathers given by the Ericksen men.
Just before he has sex, Marshall eats pickled herring and even dunks his pen in ice-cold water. Lily becomes suspicious after seeing this and confronts Marshall. After this, Marshall discovers that Lily has been trying many things to give birth to a little girl.
Finally, they understand that it is important to have a healthy child regardless of gender. Meanwhile, Becky enjoys talking to Robin like an eight-year-old girl. Things get worse when Ted thinks Becky is attractive and starts dating her. This makes Barney wonder why he can’t raise a girl when he starts talking like an 8 year old. Finally, even Barney finds a woman who finds the way Barney speaks well and begins to respond. No woman appreciated Barney’s nature until then. In short, the program has all the ingredients to be memorable. The way the characters respond understands the overall flow of the series.
