Liberal Arts – A New Dimension Towards Career Opportunities
According to the truth, we often choose the same professions, which were adopted by our fathers. We try to accommodate such a role that is in demand and offer opportunities in terms of job prospects. We try to focus on the influential areas, which our friends have studied or chosen so far, and this leads to growth in narrow, false and misguided thinking. Doctor, Chartered Accountant, Computer Engineer, Businessman etc. are no doubt prestigious professions in the past decades, but the growth and demand of modern career is much better, more ethical and are said to be worldwide to provide better opportunities in the coming decades. Have we ever looked towards the multifaceted career field such as liberal arts today, which will be more in demand in the future?
Liberal arts means open mind, free thinking, creativity etc.
First world countries are focusing on liberal arts from many decades but in our country, people choose the same fashionable professions, although they know that the growth of old professions has decreased in size .
We have never focused on preserving our history, our culture and showing our creativity, by choosing Liberal Arts subjects in our graduation and the high level of our studies, because in the decades finally,
A degree in Arts, was undoubtedly the terrible choice for the Pakistani man and woman in the past, due to narrow thinking and lack of opportunities; but now the new generation has to look up for this innovative and liberal art field.
Liberal Arts has a 360º dimensional way to progress to seek endless career opportunities in the future.
In this article, I would like to focus on one of the Liberal Arts area, which is Architecture.
It is truly said,
“Architecture is based on science but its heart is in the arts”
Because their designs should be responsive to social, cultural and environmental issues, using the rich potential of science and technology to achieve quality in the design of spaces, forms and details.
Architecture has been called “The professional creative problem solver of this Modern Age.” You will learn how to work with others to imagine and design buildings, from the smallest to the largest; you will solve problems, make pictures, build models, and fine-tune it in your learning phase.
An architect learned design, construction, project drafting, research and site planning as well.
If you want to build models; Draw plans of your building ideas; Research and write papers; learn Mathematics; learn about the preservation and restoration of old buildings; Study architectural styles and history; Think about how buildings affect individuals and society and you would have a bright future in this field of Creativity.
If you are fascinated by buildings; If you like to be creative; if you can handle (learn from) public criticism; if you are self-motivated and well-organized; If you want to meet new challenges, you must consider a degree in Architecture.
