Healing of Cancer: Voodoo Death in Cancer Patients
While witch doctors are found in the uncivilized parts of the world, do you think that such a voodoo culture is not available in the civilized countries? Let us examine the following two cases of liver cancer.
Story 1: Gan was a 62 year old man. He had a fever with vomiting and diarrhea for about two weeks. He was admitted to a private hospital. A CT scan performed showed a 9 x 10.5 x 9 cm mass in segments 4 and 8 of the liver. A mass was seen extending towards the porta hepatis. The intrahepatic ducts were not dilated.
The doctor said Gan had hepatocellular carcinoma. After that, he was sent to a university hospital for further treatment but it did not continue. He came to see us on 6 August 2000 and opted for herbs instead. His condition then was fine. He had no discomfort but a mild fever at midnight. Gan was started on our liver herbs.
Gan responded well to the herbs. After a week, his desire increased. He slept well all night and before that he disturbed his sleep and woke up every hour of the night. He felt more alert. His facial expression showed that he looked much better than before. The midnight fevers were also gone.
On September 10, 2000, Gan told us that he had more energy and was able to float. On September 21, 2001, ie, after a year and two months on the herbs, I met Gan again. He told me he was not going to do any more blood tests because the alpha fetoprotein levels had gone from 179 in August 2000 (before he took the herbs) to 88,917 in June 2001 (after the take herbs). He saw no need to know about it anymore. However, he was doing well and had gone back to work as a mechanic. He had no symptoms or discomfort.
Gan experienced remarkable relief from all his symptoms after taking the herbs for about just a week. He was able to sleep, eat and work. After three months on the herbs, his liver function results returned to normal. However, the increase in AFP level indicated that something was not right with him. We didn’t know what else to do to help him. Maybe it’s a case of ‘live and let live’ and hope for the best. In fact, Gan had the option of going for surgery or other medical interventions which he had refused from the very beginning. Looking at it from a positive perspective, Gan did not fare as badly compared to those who opted for medical treatments. Many who underwent surgery died soon after, while others developed more liver tumors. There are no certainties in cancer. What is certain about the outcome of these cases is its uncertainty.
Story 2: Danny was a 55-year-old man. In September 2001, he had sudden abdominal pain. Investigations done in hospital showed several liver masses with ascites. He was then sent to a hospital in Kuala Lumpur. A CT scan of the abdomen showed “multiple elevated nodules throughout the liver. The largest of these is 12 cm across and lies in Region 5. This particular nodule shows mixed density with areas of less density in the center . It hangs down below It appears to be surrounded by moderately dense fluid. Thick fluid is also seen around the liver. It appears to be due to a multifocal hepatoma with bleeding from the tumor most.
Tru-cut biopsy confirmed well-differentiated hepatocellular carcinoma. The chest X-ray showed that the heart appeared enlarged. The right hemidiaphragm was elevated and a moderate left pleural effusion was noted.
Surgery was not indicated in this case. Afterwards, Danny underwent transarterial chemoembolization. After this treatment the blood test results were not encouraging. The doctor told the family members that Danny only had three to twelve months to live.
Danny and his family came to see us on September 30, 2001. He wasn’t in pain but he couldn’t sleep. He had been on tranquillizers for the previous three or four nights. He couldn’t sleep. He had a dry cough and was slightly out of breath. Every day starting from 4 or 5 pm he had a fever. We ordered our liver herbs.
After a week on the weed, Danny said he had mild pains. He was able to sleep without taking the tranquillizer anymore. He lost his appetite. But his breathing was better. The night fever had subsided. Before taking the herbs, the afternoon fevers usually lasted for three to four hours and his temperature was around 39 degrees C. After taking the herbs, the fevers only lasted for an hour or two and the temperature was around 37.5 degrees C.
After two weeks on the weed, Danny reported further improvements. He had no more pain. His breathing improved and he slept well too. He felt more alert. On some nights, he had no fever or when he had them, his temperature was only about 37 degrees C.
After about a month on the herbs, Danny told us that he has refused to go for further chemoembolisation as his condition had improved significantly. He had no more pains, he could sleep, he was more alert and his breathing was normal. His appetite had improved. He only had a fever on two evenings and his temperature was around 37.5 degrees C. He told us his blood pressure was a little low, at — 100/70.
In November 2001, Danny came and told us that he had no more fever in the evening. That was after he had taken the herbs for about six weeks. In late November 2001, Danny reported that his blood pressure had returned to normal, 110/80. He looked radiant and healthy!
It was really amazing to see Danny doing so well. We had a VCD recording all of Danny’s trips. On his first visit, he wore a jacket. He looked sick. His movements were stiff, slow and lifeless. He was out of breath when he spoke. A week later, Danny was different. He had more energy. He walked with a lot of energy.
Again, we would like to ask some questions: Here is a man who suffered bleeding due to a ruptured tumor in the liver. He stopped taking chemoembolisation after just one treatment and opted for herbs instead. Why was he getting better? Why wasn’t there more fever? Why did his blood pressure return to normal? In this case, there were no drugs or medical procedures involved. He actually suffered some serious side effects when he was on medical treatment! This is truly a miracle cure.
On January 20, 2002, Danny and his family came to see us. He was in perfect health. Then, almost a month later, Danny came again and he was feeling a bit down. He had spent time surfing the internet and learned that his cancer was a terminal disease. He was depressed and this new information made him feel resentful all week.
To understand why this is happening, let’s go back a little more to the time before Danny came to see us. Danny’s doctor wrote on September 17, 2001: “the prognosis is guarded and his family has been informed.” And according to the family, Danny was only given three to twelve months to live!
We could predict that the outcome of Danny and Gan’s treatment would be different, even though they suffered from incurable liver cancers. As William Oslo said, survival largely depends on what goes on in the head. I suspected that Danny is under a voodoo curse. He knew his cancer was serious and he only had three to twelve months to live. Although he benefited from consuming the herbs, he still felt hopeless and uncertain about the outcome. He told me once: “I’m fine and I feel good on the outside, but I don’t know what’s happening inside.” His family members also told me that Danny was worrying him too much. Despite all the improvements he got from taking the herbs, his daughter told me that Danny only hoped to live another two months, by which time his son would have finish college. He was looking forward to his successful graduation and then he was ready to die. No matter how much I reassured him that it was going to be okay, he was still skeptical.
Gan, on the other hand, was not under a voodoo curse. His doctor didn’t have a chance to tell him how long he could live. He opted for herbs and refused further medical attention. He knew his cancer was bad but he left it at that! When the blood test showed an elevated AFP, he didn’t stop going for the test. When I spoke to Gan, he didn’t hesitate as Danny did. For me, the reports for both cases were very poor. Gan lived for two years but Danny died much earlier – not only from cancer but also his attitude.
