Stonehenge – All Hail Great Stones!

Kathy and I hit the ground running. She got into the English car on the wrong side and started driving on the “wrong” side of the street. We were off to Avebury, a four thousand year old stone circle shaped in the form of a dragon through a circle, as a symbol of alchemy. The town of Avebury was actually surrounded by hills.

Everything was cold and foggy. Our first stop was across from Silbury, known for its heavy Earth Goddess energy. A herd of goats started towards us as we approached. I took out a bagel and gave it to them. They were so noble, even the ram. I knew I had done this before. The first thing people do when they see animals is want to feed them.

We got to the Avebury pub and we didn’t have sixpence for a cup of coffee. Reality check, we had no notes, no money in a foreign country. We took a walk along the Avenue of the Stones. I kept repeating Mother, Mother to each one. The chicken around Avebury is man made. The henge surrounds two circles of stones, male and female.

It seems that this trip will be returning to my former home. We are returning to the energy home of the Mother-God. The theme is to help balance the masculine and feminine energies within, and unite our higher selves with our “earthly” selves. We will walk the paths that many old people have walked.

We came back to our B&B, the last place available in town at Heather’s house. I was so tired that I had to lie down for a nap. I began to hear the stones singing, a great hum was going on and on. The nap was like I had slept all night. We got up to go to dinner, and another walk near the “ocean.” The Mary and Michael lines cross here. When we were getting close to the stones, I felt as if I was going into the void. The Mother stone is the root chakra and the Father stone is the crown. I kept seeing the color red, even in the dark.

The stones were placed next to the soil layers. The contours are like the contours of our own body. They carry the “life force” on the way. Each stone becomes a carrier of the earth’s energy. We were told that someone sat on a stone, without asking permission, and was thrown off!

Heathers house was 300 years old. The foundations of the house were “sarsen” stones from Avebury. The “stone killers” took many of the stones apart and used them to build the houses. Part of it was getting rid of the pagan beliefs associated with the stones. The Christian church was built very close to the circles to try to balance the influence of these old temples. When I got home I had a dream that Avebury was a fairy circle.

Heather’s house was so colorful, it was like a fairy house. She was born in the city and a bit confused by everything. She told us that sometimes she could take a walk on a summer night and look over the stones to see naked people dancing around, or beating drums, or bell “You say to yourself, am I really seeing and hearing this?” The local police made fun of her after the “dance program”. “What were you where were you at the time of the dance? Can you be described? Are you sure you were not out among them?” For an English breakfast she gave us special mushrooms. We joked that they were “magic mushrooms”. We felt like we were staying in Alice in Wonderlands house!

Before we left Avebury we met some of the Druids. They told us they were going to be at Stonehenge that night. We asked if we could go with them, the answer was no. We left for the Henge around 4pm. We asked the woman at the ticket office for a place to stay. She directed us to a 700 year old mansion with 22 rooms. It was a B&B and was supposed to be the home of Anne Boleyn, one of Henry VIII’s wives.

We casually announced that we knew the Druids were going to be at Stonehenge that night. Before I knew it we had a meeting between 9 and 10pm to have Stonehenge to ourselves after the Druids. When we got close to the henge, that afternoon, I kept getting cold walking around. I call it “the blood of truth.”

We arrived at 9pm to a night full of stars, the Big Dipper, Orion et. al. All day there was no sun and last night there was not a single star, but tonight the sky was full of flowers. The guard ushered us in and told us that we were not allowed to enter the venue as they had just put down new turf. We found out later that the center is where all the magic happens. If there is frost around the stones, it will never be in the middle circle.

Kathy began setting up the “ceremonial fires,” the small candles and incense we had brought in. She placed this on the first of the two stones that had fallen opposite the central circle. I had to walk the “stone path”. I walked slowly around touching each giant, but asking permission first. When I started walking I was saying out loud, “All big stones!” I could not believe that I was there, this great temple of the sun and the moon, the Earth’s temple to the stars and the Goddess. I walked the entire outer circle. At one point I swore I saw a man with a spear in the distance of the mist. It turned out to be a stone!

When I finished my walk, I came back to the two fallen stones. It was Kathy’s turn to walk the outer circle. It was so black, and I began to feel my way on the two stones. As I made my way towards the centre, I hit my shin on a low fence. I fell in the stone and I heard it roar, and this big big stone moved on my side and I was leaning on myself from falling! I turned around and started back to the other fallen stone. I thought to myself, “What just happened?” I turned around and went to the center. I kept going and asking myself what happened to the fence? Was it invisible? Exactly where is it? I bent down and literally felt my way in the dark, I didn’t want to hit my shin again. I walked on and didn’t hit anything. I realized I was standing at the end of the stone in the inner circle.

I prayed prayers of hope and thanksgiving, Our Father and Hail Mary. I also prayed the prayers that I say when I say my rosary. “I pray these prayers for world peace, brotherhood of man, peace on earth. I pray that the Spirit of Christ would be born in each of us and that our bodies would be filled with light. I pray that each of us human beings on this planet will come to know, use, and be one with God’s Will and Power, God’s Love, and Truth, Faith, Wisdom and God’s Thought.” It was an amazing gift to have my special prayers in the middle of Stonehenge.

Kathy came back, “Are you in the middle?” She flashed the flashlight and there I was in the middle. The fence was a good foot and a half from the stone. I had walked through it and never touched it! I was supposed to be there, I was invited! The only picture that came out that night was a picture of the fence stopping short of my mobile giant.

We walked to the other side of the outer circle and sat to meditate. I felt as if the entire night sky was flooding my consciousness. It was like being in the void, whole and nothing. I was immersed in the stars and everything. This was happening to me when I laid my head on the great mother stone at Avebury.

I looked up and saw a white arch over Stonehenge that night. It was like the white half circle I saw in my dream about the rainbow back in the US. In my dream I looked over and saw a rainbow in the distance. The rainbow did not end but continued underground to form a circle. This rainbow was white in color. I realized that the earth’s rainbow is a complete circle, which makes sense that it is not just one part of an arc. Later in that dream I saw the end of the rainbow. I went into all the colors and woke up to the vibration of all those glorious colors passing through me. Here is the white arch, the white rainbow, over Stonehenge!

We sat in silence for a while. We heard music playing. I thought the invisible choir was present. I prayed to the angel of Stonehenge. I thanked God the Goddess for being there. I thought of all my loved ones who were in the circle that night and I prayed for them all.

The smoke began to roll in. When we got back to the manager, I had to put my head out of the car window to see. When we walked away from Stonehenge it had disappeared into the mist. Avalon fog to come…

Epilogue:

I later discovered another important part of this gift. I found out that the stone that moved the two was a piece of a large stone. That stone was lying on top of his father’s fallen stone. When I moved into the center I was standing on the fallen altar stone!

I met Mary Hardy months later. I call her a magician. She is a dowser, Homeopathic Dr., and works with aromatherapy with Young Living Oils. She told me that Stonehenge was built after Atlantis sank. People would go in and change the stones to heal the grid of the earth. Maybe I was put there to do that.

Stonehenge – Welcome to Big Stones!

Hail Great Stones!

They have stood the whole time.

They stand with age,

As a man rises and falls.

They give us life.

They show us respect for our Mother.

Temple of the Sun and the Moon,

Set in circles, out in space.

Invisible to some,

For the greater sense.

Knowledge of others,

Who knows their feelings.

They sing in the sunlight,

And the fog of the gray night.

They sing together,

Where God meets mankind.

They sing in the silence,

As we fall to the ground.

They are a reminder of all who have passed.
