The first people to ever summit Mount Everest were Edmund Hillary, a New Zealand mountaineer and explorer, and Tenzing Norgay, a Nepalese Sherpa mountaineer.
Both reached the summit of Mount Everest on May 29, 1953, having climbed for just over seven weeks.
Number two
The last year that nobody climbed to the top of Everest was in 1974. Since then, every year there have been climbers from all over the world who have successfully reached the top of the mountain.

Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world with an estimated height of 8848 meters.
The second highest is K2 (8,611 meters), the third is Kangchenjunga (8,586 m), the fourth is Lhotse (8,516 m) and the fifth highest mountain in the world is Makalu (8,485 m).
