Gossip Girl Episode 6 – Enough About Eve

Hey Gossip Girl fans, am I the only one who actually misses this? I miss the explosions that shake things up at the most inopportune moments. The occasional witty note is great, but I like the full package when watching Gossip Girl.

“Enough About Eve” Season 6 Episode 3 tests both friendships and relationships. What makes this episode explosive is that it disrupts all the relationships we’ve finally come to think of as stable.

Serena tries to play a card game to save Carter, but it fails. With Nate as a financial backer, she is devastated by the outcome. She later finds out that she wasn’t the only one who gambled with someone. Trip is running for congress and Nate helps with his campaign, against the Buckleys of course. Am I the only Gossip Girl fan who thinks this smacks of personal vendetta?

Olivia finds herself caught between Blair and Vanessa. Both girls covet the prestigious first toast and Olivia is nothing more than a victim as they think. Vanessa tries to play the bad girl, but she doesn’t stand a chance against Queen B. Vanessa Toast’s determination threatens her friendship with Dan. Blair may be taking too much of a gamble by bringing Chuck into the game.

On the plus side, Lily and Rufus are doing great!

While Gossip Girl’s music usually goes well with the action, this episode’s music felt more like background music.
