Chinook Winds Casino is a beautiful casino right on the ocean. It’s a great place to hang out and they always have big name acts. Of course, gambling is available. The casino also offers a restaurant, a pool and a sauna to relax in. They also offer childcare with arcades, Nintendo and a playground.
3. Watch Glass Blow!
The Alderhouse Glass Blowing Studio is well worth your time. You can watch the masters in the ancient art of glass blowing. You can also purchase some of their beautiful pieces, including something called a witch ball. You will be amazed at what they can do with glass.
4. View Mighty D River?
D river is not so powerful. It is the shortest river in the world, running 120 feet from Devils Lake to the Pacific Ocean. There is an Oregon State Park boardwalk with plenty of parking and access to miles of sandy beach. Right next to the roadside is my favorite restaurant, Kylios. Great ocean views and amazing seafood.
5. Eat dinner!
There is plenty of fishing fun to be had in Lincoln City. Whether it’s Devils Lake (trout, bass, catfish, crappie, largemouth bass), Siletz River and Salmon River (target fish for chinook, steelhead, trout), Siletz Bay (bass, crabs, walleyes) or deep sea fishing in the Pacific Ocean. Charters are available.
6. Shop till you buy!
If you need to get away from nature for a bit, head to the Tanger Outlet Center.
Tanger Mall has more than 60 stores, including Reebok, Eddie Bauer, Old Navy and Pendelton Woolen Mills, Oregon’s favorite.
