Execution Day: Bang You’re Dead!

The next morning, Bubala woke up the woman, which was the first day of a new life. She blushed as she remembered her first sexual encounter with her husband Harry. She was a virgin, and while their wedding night was wild, it was uncomfortable and even painful. She smiled as she felt the warmth of Harry’s body lying next to her. Bubba sat up and stretched, enjoying the weak contraction of her muscles, when suddenly she screamed, “Oh my God.” A cold chill ran down her back. Jumping out of bed, she madly rushed to the bathroom and quickly took a shower. She changed back into her baggy clothes, pulling her hair back into a pony tail. As a finishing touch to her cozy look, she put on her big black glasses.

Bubba rushed to the bed and started shaking Harry. He grunted, turned over, and fell asleep again.

“Come on Harry, you need to wake up. We need to go to mum’s house and tell her we’re married,” her voice was high and bitter, piercing his ears as she continued to shake him over and over.

Harry awoke from his deep sleep extremely aggravated, in a bad mood. “Shut up bitch, I can’t stand your bitter voice. We’ve only been married a day and you’re a joke. You remind me of your mother.”

He saw her as cozy again. Shrugging his shoulders in disgust, he said to himself, “My God, this is the stupidity I have to see and hear every day?” His tongue and throat felt like they were on fire, and his head ached from last night’s brown exterior. He yelled, “Hey Boobala, since you’re at the fridge, give me that Heineken beer.”

Opening the refrigerator door she dutifully took the last bottle as she said, “Harry, can you please hurry up. It’s already 10:30.” As he guzzled his beer, he rolled his eyes at Boobaal and yelled, “I heard you. GET UPUPPPPPPPPP!!!!”

Later, Boob told Harry to wait outside in the hallway while she went to tell Mum the news. Mildred was sitting at the kitchen table waiting for him, her lips pursed disapprovingly. Papa had already gone to work. It was a relief. She opened the door and quickly walked in, muttering “…Hi mom.”

Mildred looked up, glaring at Boob who was standing with his back to the door. Her face was contorted as she prepared to slap her daughter’s brains out. She yelled at the top of her voice, “Where have you been? You said you were going to Myrtle’s for dinner last night and it’s 11:15 in the morning. I called Myrtle and she said you weren’t even there. . Where were you? How you dare lie to me?”

Boob’s stomach clenched at the sound of Mildred’s screaming voice. Shaking like a leaf, she weakly replied, “I’m getting married, Mom.”

“What did you say? Married??? Who did you marry?” Scared out of his wits, Booba blurted out, “Harry Darling.”

“Harry Dear? The student who came here that wasn’t a good bum? I knew it! I said I smelled a skunk and you said he wasn’t your friend?”

“I love him, mother,” cried Boob. “He is my husband.”

“Love, huh, you’re barely eighteen, what do you know about love? Did he get you pregnant?”

“No mom, we never had sex.” she replied.

Enraged, Mildred quickly got up from the table and smacked Boob across her face with full force, grabbing her by the pony tail and shaking her violently until she screamed. Continuing the physical and verbal attacks, she screamed: “This is why I risked my life to give birth? Get out, get out, you are no longer my daughter. You are dead to me. Set foot in my house again. I exclude you from my will. You say you’re married, so let that bum support you.”

Boobala was in complete shock and disbelief. She ran out the door crying and screaming hysterically, her hair a complete mess. She ran past Harry and headed down the stairs. Harry rubbed his nose with the flat of his hand, unsure of what else to do. A few seconds later he was running after her. Neighbors began to open their doors to see what the commotion was about.

The Elusive Dream: Catch Me If You Can

Mildred kept her word. That same day, she called a lawyer and changed the will, leaving everything up to her brother’s family. Boobala was devastated, her grief knew no bounds. She was so angry because she was the rightful heir, not Uncle Marvin. She had a great business. Over and over Booba said to herself, “Oh, mother, why did you do such a terrible thing to your only child?” When she told Harry that their marriage had disinherited him, he was shocked. There was a long agonizing interval as his mind took time to figure out what to do. As he slowly recovered from his shock, he began to realize that his plan had quickly backfired. Now he had a wife without inheritance. Angry, he leaves for weeks. Bubala was completely alone, isolated from her relatives, always on the verge of despair, living from hand to mouth. All the dreams and promises Harry made never came true. He kept losing one job after another. They began to accumulate debts that Harry was unable to pay. As a last resort, when the lease on their flat ran out, they had to move in with Harry’s Uncle Jake.

With money becoming a monumental problem, Boobal had to find a job. She was able to secure a job with decent pay because of her experience in her father’s clothing company. She liked her job and liked the wages she was getting. “Maybe now I can save up for that cruise I’ve always wanted.” she thought to herself. The more money she made, the more Harry stole from her and the further her dream sailed. He was addicted to gambling, losing everything he had in his pocket.

Boobala regretted ever getting involved with him. His drinking and gambling addictions had ruined much of her life. Their sexless marriage had turned into an abusive relationship with verbal and physical abuse.
