Office yoga can improve health and productivity. Sitting all the time is not healthy for your circulation or skeletal structure. Most of us know that excessive sitting can lead to poor circulation in the legs and blood clotting.

Until a few decades ago, these spinal problems were not so common in younger office workers because children had more active physical lives. Nowadays, it is not uncommon for a child to come home and do homework on a laptop or PC.

With nearly two decades of inactive lifestyles and poor posture, young adults enter the workforce to continue unhealthy diets and postures that will go unnoticed until they experience chronic pain. The solution is to develop office yoga programs in one day.

The fastest and cheapest way to make these changes is to hire qualified yoga instructors who can assess your daily postural problems and provide recommendations for viable solutions. The main problem here is correct posture and physical activity.

The choices are simple: compare the costs of higher health insurance, absenteeism, workers’ compensation and temporary disability with the costs of an independent contractor. Whether the business is large or small, the advice provided by a competent yoga teacher is a cost-effective long-term health solution.

Alternative solutions are the difference between a company’s economic survival and going out of business. As energy costs rise, companies are forced to think outside the box. How many commercial building owners knew or cared about solar shingles just a few years ago?

The increase in labor costs is much more than hourly wages. If companies truly value their employees, office yoga can boost morale and create a healthier workforce. It is up to employers to find cheaper solutions to existing problems or suffer the consequences.
